Wedding vows

The wedding vows are promises made by the bride and groom to each other during a wedding ceremony. You can chose to write your own wedding vows, rather than relying on standard wedding vows samples. In Western culture, this pledge has traditionally included the notions of affection (love, comfort, keep), faithfulness (forsaking all others), unconditionality (for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health), and permanence (as long as we both shall live, until death do us part).

May our hearts become one as we unite as husband and wife

You are God’s precious gift to me, my springtime, my hope and my joy.
You are everything that’s good and pure and true and I worship you with my mind, body and soul.
How blessed I am to be able to say that you are mine, to be able to love and cherish you for the rest of my days.

I vow to always put you first in my life, always be there to comfort you in your sorrow and rejoice with you in your victories.
May our hearts and very breath become one as we unite this day as husband and wife.

I promise to be your true love from this day forward and forevermore…

I vow to walk by your side

I acknowledge my love for you and invite you to share my life as I hope to share yours. I promise to walk by your side, to love, help and encourage you.

I vow to take time to share with you, to listen and to care. I will share your laughter and your tears as your partner, lover and
friend.

I promise always to respect you and honor you as an individual and to be conscious of your needs.

I shall seek through kindness and compassion to achieve with you the life we have planned together.

I give myself to you completely

I am proud to marry you on this day. I promise to wipe away your tears with my laughter and your pain with my caring and compassion.

We will wipe clean the old canvases of our lives and let God, with His amazing artistic talent, fill them with new colors, harmony and beauty.

I give myself to you completely, and I promise to love you always, from this day forth.

Today I cross the threshold with you

I came to this place today as a (man/woman) standing along;
I will walk from it by your side.
Today I cross the threshold with you
and enter into a new and lasting lifetime commitment.
(Name), I commit myself to you as your (husband/wife).

I pledge to share my life with you

Today, a day of music and celebration,
I pledge to share my life with you.
Whether the days that come are happy or sad,
I will live them with you.
(Name), I give myself to you as your ( husband / wife ).

I used to be afraid of love

I used to be afraid of falling in love, of giving my heart away.
How could I trust a (man/woman) to love me,
to give to me all that I wanted to give to (him/her)?

(Name), when I met you,
I realized how much we could share together.
You have renewed my life:
Today I join that life with yours.
